Teluk Bahang to Penang Hill Hike
On 11th Jul 2009, a group of 19 RSM Hikers (inclusive of 2 friends and 2 former Renesas staff) completed the Teluk Bahang to Penang Hill Hike challenge accompanied by rain and few leeches along the way. RSM Hikers "Boleh" spirit was not affected by the rain with 100% turnout which supprise us especially Mr Puah PA. The Bus Kilang departed from Air Itam at about 7.00pm and arrived at Teluk Bahang about 7.45am. Umbrellas, rain coats and caps were used to fight the rain along the trail. The journey was started at 8.00am from Forest Park and last person reached western hill at 12.30pm followed by another 1 hr walk to Penang Hill. After changing our clothes, we had our lunch at Penang Hill. All the foods here were great and tasty. We left Penang Hill at 2.45pm using cable car toward our lovely home sweet home (Sweet bed was waiting for us ...zzzZZZZ). BRAVO to all. Here, we give applause to Mr Kanamitsu who was able to complete the challenge with the exhausted leg.

Another event - Penang Hill Climb 2009
It was a cool morning on Sunday for this Penang hill climb organised by Kwong Wah Jit Poh on 5th July 2009 as there was some rain one hour before the event started.
The race starts from Youth Park, coming out of the Jesselton area and proceeding to the Botanical Gardens at the base of the hill tar road. This distance covers approximately 3km.
From the base until the Penang Hill top have a distance of 5.1km with 85% slope. Its a tough route and needs some basic training to achieve it.
Congratulations to who have participated and completed the event
Ang PH, Ooi TS, Puah PA, Kimura.
