Lembah Bujang Jamboree Results

A total of 6 person participated in the Lembah Bujang Jamboree 2009 event held at Merbok, Kedah. They are : Puah PA, Yee HY, Kimura, Ang PH, Lim ST, Ooi TS.

We started our trip at 5.30am after meeting at RSM. On the way, pick up Ang PH, Ooi TS at Sungai Nibong. Reach the starting point at around 6.45am, it takes abt 1hr 15mins. The weather was quite cool and everyone started to warm up. Starting time was at 7.30am, all the 6 particpants completed the route of 11km by 9.00am.

It was a good experience to run at a new location, hoping to join next year.

Great challenge hike - Teluk Bahang to Penang Hill and Return Trip

These 5 persons did a great challenge on 29th Aug 2009, where they start from Teluk Bahang Forest reserve, hike up to Western Hill tar road via Laksamana hill and make a return trip back to the forest reserve within the same day. Total jungle track distances covered = 13.2km.

Break into 2 groups on the up tracking , 1 st group touch down the tar road within 3.5hours while 2nd group reach 0.5 hours later.

On the way down, 1st group make a remarkable challenge with a time 2 hours 25mins while the 2nd group casually hike down 2.0 hours later.

Overall, it is really a very tough journey and strains all your energy, equivalent of running a half marathon distance.
